1. When should we contact
F&A and enroll?
You should contact us today, for a free
consultation because timing is critical. When a student
is starting ninth or tenth grade the parent, grandparents
or legal guardian should call (301-925-8386) to set up a free
consultation in our Largo, Maryland office (five minutes away
from FedEx Field-home of the Washington Redskins.).
2. Do you work only with families
in MD, VA, and DC?
No, we have worked with families from Miami,
Florida; Princeton, New Jersey; Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia;
and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
We assist the family in college preparation,
funding, admission strategies and career counseling. We also
educate the parent on all aspects of college funding and other
aspects in the college process. In addition, we will show
the parents how to prepare a profile on the child and F&A
will represent the family at various college fairs (MD, VA,
and DC) in obtaining information on admissions, majors, scholarships

college. We will also provide guidance for graduate, law,
veterinarian, dental or medical schools.

4. Suppose your child has below a
2.5 and 750 on the SAT. Can you still help this child with
college funding?
Yes, we can still work with your child regardless
of grades and SAT as long as the child has the heart and desire
to go to college. Sometimes, we will personally call a college
or university and talk to the college official in reference
to your child or families with twins.
5. How long will you work with our
child?
We will work with the family from high school
through the four or five years it takes to complete college.
We work closely with the parents or grandparents since we only
need to see the child once or twice. We also try to educate
the parents so they know almost as much as we do and we require
the parents to contact us twice during the summer and each
college semester.
6. How do you make contact with colleges?
We have been involved in the college preparation
and funding arena for over seven years and we attend every
major college fair and workshop that we become aware of throughout
the Washington area. Therefore, we have been able to develop
and establish contacts with over sixty colleges and universities
throughout America.
When we attend these college events, we will
also represent the student and ask questions relevant to that
student and provide the college representative with profiles
on the student and their activities. We will later inform
the parents on the feedback that we received and follow-up
with the college representative.
7. Do you help in finding scholarships?
Yes, F&A has been successful in helping
students in obtaining scholarships for academic, athletic,
music, essay, and community scholarships. We also provide
leads to the students and parents. In addition, we sometimes
have brochures and videotapes on the colleges and universities
(scholarships) that our families can borrow.
The parents should call 301-925-8386 to set up an appointment
for sixty to ninety minutes with the student and parents.
Our goal is also to educate the parents on the entire college
process and career development for their children.
